Same Church Jesus Started |

A continuation of the same church Jesus started on the day of Pentecost as defined by the original apostles’ teaching: New Life Assembly is an “apostolic” church. By that I mean that it holds to the doctrine of salvation and other teachings that were given to the church by the apostles of Jesus Christ - as described in the book of Acts in your bible.
The apostles’ doctrine included their testimony of Jesus Christ as; a man born of God, who lived a sinless life, was falsely accused and unjustly killed by Jewish religious leaders, and three days later was raised by the power of God to be the eternal savior of men.
They also set forth the means of his salvation as that of a sinner “repenting”, then being “baptized” through submersion in water in the name of Jesus, and then receiving the gift of the “Holy Ghost” - which the apostles themselves experienced in the form of speaking with unknown “tongues” by the miracle utterance of God. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
The apostles’ doctrine further sets forth the nature of God as being “one God” who was manifested in one man whose name is Jesus, and who is appointed by God to be the only savior of mankind.
The apostles taught separation from sin, love for God and for the members of his church, as well as various other teachings needed for the preservation of integrity and happiness in life. All of these teachings are embraced by New Life Assembly and are set forth as our faith and philosophy of church operation. |
