The outpouring of volunteers to any need that is expressed will astonish you. The desire of people to be involved in church projects testifies of their love for God, and for each other. Serving at New Life Assembly is viewed by its members as indeed a privilege for those fortunate enough to be selected.
This speaks well of the great lay leadership that oversees the general affairs of the church; whether it is cleaning the church, or building an addition, or preparing a children’s program. Many times I have seen people work all day, and into the early morning hours of the following day, to get a building or remodeling project done: Not because it was expected but because they wanted to serve. Amazing! The future goal of the administration of New Life Assembly is to expand our number of ministries to enable everyone who wants to serve to be able to do so in the area of their interests and to the degree of their talent, time, energy, and desire: For truly “to serve” is in keeping with Christ’s example, “who took on himself the form of a servant”, then demonstrated the glory of service to his fellow man in the ultimate expression of the cross. |
