Grounds Maintenance |
There are men doing outdoor work at NLA almost every week of the year. Here is a sampling of the things that happen.
In the spring, plow damage is repaired along with other topsoil and seed work, and plow stakes are removed. The yard is fertilized as needed, dethatched, raked, mowed and weed-whacked. Beds are raked, edged, and mulched. Trees are pruned as needed, the sidewalks and parking lot are blown off, and gutters are cleaned out.

Building Maintenance |
Building maintenance can be summed up in one Word ... cooperation. There is a certain willingness of the men of New Life Assembly to "put their hand to the plow" whenever they are called upon to work on a project. Whether its erecting a building or simply fixing a squeaky door hinge, they give it their all. We thank God for men who are so willing to invest their time and talent into the kingdom of God. |

Prayer Meetings |
A special time for the men of NLA is at the “Men's Prayer Meeting.” If you have a need for anything or you just want to enjoy fellowship and spiritual edification, this is the place. It is geared towards mens needs and wants and situations. It helps develop you as a Christian man in a world that is tearing down the same. As I know I speak for all the men at New Life Assembly, the Men's prayer meeting is a time that you don't want to miss!! |

Annual Fishing Trip 2008 |
Last fall the men of NLA enjoyed the 19th Annual Men's Fishing Trip at Pine Bay Farms located north of Alexandria Bay in the Thousand Islands. As each year it just seems to get better, we had a record setting number in attendance. From the set-up to the tear down the fellowship was great.
Also this last trip, there were even prizes for the largest fish caught and also for the winners of the annual fishing trip golf tournament. It is a great time of relaxation and spiritual edification. The evening services were great with the best preaching, testimonials and even some prophesies. Let's not forget about the food...... Prepared by some of the best chefs in the area, it is always plentiful and very tasty! Late evening finds men gathered in the tent or around the campfire enjoying the best of fellowship. To wrap things up on the last morning, the chefs are given the day off and all the men are treated to a hearty buffet breakfast at a favorite local restaurant. Then it is back home to eagerly await next years trip. |
