Wildlife Expo - Feb 20th, 2009 Print E-mail
On February 20th, NLA hosted “The Wildlife Expo” - a fun and educational event. The night started with cookies and lemonade for guests and participants. The guests came in and began looking around at 7:30. There were a lot of interesting and unique projects: wolves, sharks, bears, elephants, sea life, endangered species, and more. The guests got to enjoy Cheetos at the cheetah table and check out some neat animal tracks and monkeys. There was also a project on an especially unique animal: the platypus. The participants quizzed some of the guests to see what they had learned from their projects. This was a wonderful and enjoyable evening, and it was a big success.

Ice Skating - Feb 10th, 2009 Print E-mail
On February 10th, the students of the Home School Support took a field trip to Batavia to go ice skating. It was a lot of fun (though some of us left sore). They had an hour and a half to skate and took full advantage of it. The skating was great and so was the falling! As always, everyone was a good sport about it and got back up to try again. There was enjoyable music, and it was an altogether a fun time. There was a race and no sore losers, but best of all we were with the people of God. The rink was cold, but nevertheless, it was a great time.
